Do you want to know why you were made and what you are on earth for? I found this website that is refreshing in this day and age of “self first”, feminism and conformity (to the world that is).

Revive Our Hearts

It sounds crazy but the more I let go, the more fulfilled I feel… so go ahead – SUBMIT ;-)

I saw this quote on this site http://midwestoutreach.org/ and wanted to share.

A number of years ago Dr. Albert Mohler spoke at an EMNR conference and in his talk shared a story about Bishop John Shelby Spong. According to Mohler, at the Lambeth Conference, Spong had committed a cultural and political boo-boo. He had been pressing for the ordination of homosexuals but was unable to get the majority to agree at the time because the bishops from Africa held firmly against it. In a moment of frustration Spong lashed out with, “The reason the African bishops believe the Bible so literally is because they have been so recently converted from paganism.” To which the Bishop from Uganda responded, “The reason Spong doesn’t believe the Bible is because he has so recently been converted to paganism.”

Albert Mohler has a great radio show that you can get online here http://www.albertmohler.com/radio_list.php

Why do we have to fit into the worlds mould?

September 1, 2008

“Of course, much of the world would agree that being a housekeeper is acceptable, as long as you are not caring for your own home; treating men with attentive devotion would also be right as long as the man is the boss in the office and not your husband; caring for children would even be deemed heroic service for which presidential awards could be given as long as the children are someone else’s and not your own.” Dorothy Patterson

waiting…

August 21, 2008

Well, I wanted to write after seeing my midwife on Tuesday but she had to cancel my appointment as she was at a birth. So here I sit… I now have an appointment with someone else on Saturday as my midwife is on holiday and I will only see her again on the 9th September. I’m kinda hoping I’ll have a baby by then and as I would still like a homebirth, I’m wondering when exactly they will let me know when and who I’m supposed to call when i go into labour! Lucky for me my mom should be here and she is a maternity nurse, I’m sure she could deliver if she had to. But I think that would be asking alot of her. anyway, I’ve reached the tired and cranky stage, which is good because the end is near, but bad because I’m tired and cranky!

The whole family is really excited to meet our new little guy now. We are hoping for September 5th as a birthday, just hope baby gets that memo……
